My work began strictly linked to an interest in degeneration, aging, and the passage from life to death. I began photographing vegetables from the moment they were fresh to when they became decomposed- a practice which became a work of art, and the fungus the main character. Through this, I became attracted to the idea of the fungus as a continuation of an ending life.
